Making Max's Mini-Comic





Here's a few work in progress, process scans and pictures of making the "Why Must I Be a Guitar Pedal in Love?" mini-comic. So far I've written out the overall flow of the story with some rough dialog and am pretty far along with pages 1-4 as you'll see below.

After I wrote the concept, I sketched out a couple of characters that'll be in the gym with Max:


And to practice natural media inking I made a pen version over mini light-table as well:


Then I penciled all four pages, which since this is to become a print mini-comic, each page takes the space of 1/4th an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper:

I penned these pages the same way I did the bear and shark wrestlers:
